Local-business lead lists without Apollo: prices compared
This page is for one buyer: you need a list of small, local businesses (plumbers, dentists, agencies) with a contact address, and Apollo is more product than you need. If you want the general question of whether to replace Apollo at all, see Apollo alternatives for small teams, which targets the broader "apollo alternatives" search (about 390 a month in the US at a $48.33 suggested bid; "apollo.io alternatives" adds 210 at $49.16; DataForSEO, 2026-11-01).
What Apollo is and costs
Apollo describes itself as a sales platform with 240M contacts and 30M companies, with sequencing, a dialer and enrichment. Its pricing page (apollo.io/pricing, read 2026-11-01 in a browser, with the billing toggle set both ways) lists Free ($0, 900 credits a year), Basic, Professional and Organization. Basic is $49 per seat per month billed annually (30,000 credits per seat a year, granted upfront) or $65 per seat per month billed monthly (2,500 credits a month). Professional is $79 annual or $99 monthly; Organization is $119 annual with a 3-seat minimum. The $59 monthly figure quoted by some guides does not appear on the page today. Credits cover emails, phones and other actions.
Where Apollo is the right pick
- You need named people with job titles at mid-sized and larger companies, filtered by role, seniority or technology.
- You want sequencing, a dialer and a CRM sync in the same product as the data.
- Its free plan is enough to test coverage for your market. Do that before paying anyone.
Its data leans toward employees of larger companies. A local roofer or restaurant often has no profile; what exists is the generic address on its own website.
