Is Hotjar down? Official status page, recent incidents and alerts
Hotjar keeps an official incident history at status.hotjar.com. If something broke around you, open it first, then decide whether the fault is yours or theirs. Because Hotjar's status page exposes an incident feed, you do not have to keep a browser tab open; a tool can watch the feed for you.

Get an alert when Hotjar posts an incident
- Paid, set up by hand: Keencrest's outage alerts post each new Hotjar incident and each update to it to Slack, Microsoft Teams, Discord or email. $9 a month for up to 25 vendors, $29 a month for all 70 we can read.
- Free way: subscribe to the feed address below from an RSS trigger in n8n or Make, or from Slack's RSS app. The "only new items" behaviour of those triggers is the same watch-mode pattern as in our news-alert templates.

What this page is not
This page is not a live checker. It does not test Hotjar for you, and the table above is a snapshot from 2026-11-08, so it may already be out of date. Vendors can be slow to acknowledge an outage, and a problem on your network or account will never show on a status page. For the current state, open the official page linked above.
