Is GitHub down? Official status page, recent incidents and alerts

By Keencrest · 2026-11-01

GitHub publishes its incidents on its own status page at www.githubstatus.com. That page, not a third-party guess, is the first place to look when GitHub seems to be failing for you. The same page publishes a feed, so you can be told about a new incident instead of discovering it from an angry customer.

What this page is not

This page is not a live checker. It does not test GitHub for you, and the table above is a snapshot from 2026-11-08, so it may already be out of date. Vendors can be slow to acknowledge an outage, and a problem on your network or account will never show on a status page. For the current state, open the official page linked above.

GitHub and its status page belong to their owners; Keencrest is not affiliated with GitHub. Feed read on 2026-11-08 within the host's robots.txt.
